The following are links to the current immunization schedules based on best practice guidelines from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Our health care team values taking time to thoroughly discuss pediatric vaccinations with you. Should you be interested in delaying vaccines or pursuing an alternate immunization schedule, please discuss this with your provider.

Pertussis Alert

Important Alert for families in Washtenaw County: the health department has noted a sharp rise in casesof PERTUSSIS (whooping cough) among adults and teens (who may have diminishing immunity) and unvaccinated children.

Pertussis is highly contagious and occurs as the Bordatella pertussis bacteria attacks the respiratory system. Symptoms include: low grade fever, runny nose and coughing attacks which can become more severe after 1 - 2 weeks and may last up to one month. Life-threatening complications such as pneumonia and convulsions can occur.

If you are an adult with diminishing immunity, please talk with your health care provider about a booster vaccination.
